Comments=Beware that the lower level is cleared out at 10:00 p.m. ON THE DOT! We were told, not asked, to leave our table so they could move it to make more floor space. The waitress should have at least warned us before we sat down. Comments=We go every year on our anniversary and they remember us and treat us to a special appetizer and this time even gave us free "birthday" apricot sorbet with candles in them even though it was our anniversary and not our birthdays! Their house Riesling wine is wonderful, slightly sweet and fruity and better then any expensive wine I've had (I don't like dry Riesling, if you do, don't get this one). Bradford Bixby and his team are wonderful! They are not stuffy at all and will gladly answer any questions you have about the wine or food. The Young Spring Greens with apples, walnuts, and gorgonzola cheese with what I believe was a vanilla vinaigrette (I could be wrong on this) was the BEST salad I've ever had in my entire life, and that is saying a lot since I love their warm spinach salad too. Comments= Hamada at the Rampart Casino has always been a long favorite, and disappointed when it closed. In search of the same food I tried the Hamada on Paradise and Flamingo. While being a lovely restaurant, the food no longer resembled the same taste I longed for. I am convinced a Thai cook is in the kitchen as anything spicy had easily burned my mouth. If salt is an issue, one might consider drinking half the Pacific ocean as the lesser of sodium intake. In general, my husband and I no longer found the milder, flavorful dishes of the Japanese cuisine. Finding we did not have the stomachs for food in the extremes, and a large food bill, we retreated home for non-salted, non-Thai hot bowl of soup.

Comments=The food was utterly amazing. The ambiance was soft and mellow, our waiter was devoted and attentive. They have two pre-fixed menus which change according to season or available ingredients-both had nicely varied selections. The dessert choices were fabulous as well-and the little chocolates and nibblies you get at the end were to die for. I had one really nice glass of wine (wonderful wine selection) and my husband had one beer, and we both had a dessert and coffee-the bill was approx $200. If you take the wine tasting package along with the meal, its at least another $25 a person. My only complaint is that a restaurant of this quality had an extremely limited beer selection-not everyone likes wine.
