I think is it was to be anything like the Viva Las Vegas movie it
would be a huge success. Bring it on. Dwight S.

Generally I am not a race fan, however to see the streets of Las
Vegas being used by professional drivers would be much better than
watching the wanna be taxi cab drivers race around the city. I
guess I would attend this type of race. Ginger Las

There was a grand prix in my home town of San Antonio for 2 years. It
was very well received and very profitable for everybody but the
promoters and sanctioning body (SCCA). The race ran through downtown and
all the hotels sold out. They then sold seats on balconies, roof tops,
suites and restaurants. The hotel "seats" were far superior to the
grandstands. The hotels refused to help promote or sponsor the race in
any way. This would have to be addressed before any proposal is
presented. Wayne Kunkler San Antonio
I don't think that the racing fans that this race would attract would
make up for the disruption closing a lot of the streets for the race
course. Las Vegas is mainly a gambling destination I believe and there
would probably be a loss of revenue for the majority of businesses.

No way keep the races in Indianapolies. Vegas don.t need them.

When I visit Las Vegas, the normal flow of traffic is enough of a
road race for me. Rick Stevens Butte, MT
Absolutely not. I worked downtown during the disaster that was the
Las Vegas Grand Prix in 2006. Business downtown fell off dramatically. I
am all for special attractions and events, so long as they don't
inconvenience the tourists. The benefit of having a great race pales in
comparison to the frustration that it will cause our visitors due to
increased traffic headaches. Public streets should be reserved for the
public, racetracks are for races. Let's keep it that way. Eric

Excellent Idea! With the large number of Hotels and Hi Rise Condo's
in the city, the places to watch this spectical are limitless! Just
think of the parties, corp. meetings, and thousands of visitors it will
bring to Las Vegas! Wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon in Las
Vegas. This would help bring Las Vegas back where it belongs, the
number one destination in the North America for fun and excitment! This
would help put the true meaning back in "Viva Las Vegas"! Wave the green
flag! Edward Baptista Kent, WA
I don't think you can do this. Now days there are too many rules ,
too much goverment , too many bussness that will complain and the people
who come to see it will grip. But with that said, I think its a
wonderfull idea.I think people who have never befor come to Vegas will
come to see the race. You know, the room rates alone the race way will go
so high only the rich will be able to get them.I think its a good idea.
good luck with this one. Steve sedalia,Mo
That would Awesome!! I live in San Diego and try to go to Vegas twice
a year, I would make a special trip to watch that. You should have Elvis
playing in the background. Kim Croft San diego / CA
